Outstanding citizens of Baguio City chosen | Sun.Star

Congratulations to Baguio Country Club GM Anthony de Leon (no relation to my brother- in law Renato "Lany" de Leon of Marikina City) for being chosen as one  of the  Outstanding Citizens of Baguio City.The awarding ceremonies will be held  on September 1,2013 (Sunday) at Baguio Convention Center. Associate Justice Mario Victor Leonen will be this year charter day speaker.
Last September 1,2011 I have the honor to Congratulate and "beso-beso"  the wife of the Vice-Mayor Daniel Fariñas (my mentor in Municipal Corporation at http://www.ub-college-law.blogspot.com) on the same occasion, founding charter day of the City of Baguio. Mrs. Daniel Fariñas was the recepient as Outstanding Barangay Captain in Baguio City.

How time passed indeed.35 years after the 1978 World Chess Championship between Karpov and Korchnoi,so many things have changed in the venue (Baguio Convention Center) where the 1978 World Chess Championship was held. On September 1,2013 Baguio City will celebrate its 104th founding year @ Baguio Convention Center. Supreme Court Justice Marvic Leonen will be the guest of Honor and Speaker.
